Tulsa police said that they have arrested 27-year-old Heather Freeman, after being accused of causing the death of her son, 8-month-old Jaxon Annuschat.

In court, Freeman pleaded guilty to child neglect.

She was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison and 10 years of probation.

The Department of Human Services took custody of Freeman’s three other children.

According to the police investigation, paramedics were called to the home, where Annuschat was found unresponsive.

Annuschat was taken to the hospital, where he died of extensive brain injuries.

The baby also tested positive for meth.

The medical examiner said that Annuschat died as a result of drowning.

Freeman told police that she left her baby on a bed unattended.

Annuschat later rolled over and landed head first into a mop bucket with dirty water.

By the time the bay was taken out of the mop bucket, he was already unconscious.

Police said that Freeman told a therapist she intentionally drowned her son because he was crying.
