A woman was shocked when a house cat jumped her and her pit bull, leaving them both bloody, according to a Facebook post by Javiera Rodriguez.

Rodriguez of Saanich, Canada, said that the incident unfolded on Monday evening when she was walking with a group of dog owners when the cat ran towards them.

The white cat named baby went on a relentless attack, scratching 3-year-old Bandida in the face.

The cat showed no fear of the usually feared pit bull.

When Rodriguez tried to stop the attack, the cat turned on her.

She suffered scratches and puncture wounds and was taken to the emergency room, where she was treated for 5 hours.

Bandida suffered many scratches and puncture wounds to the face.

Kyla Grover, who was at the scene at the time of the attack, said that she was shocked that a cat showed no fear in the face of seven large dogs.

The owner of the cat, Del Thompson, apologized to Rodriguez and offered to pay the veterinary bills for the injured pit bull.

Del’s wife, Betty Jean Thompson, 78, was outside gardening when her cat jumped the dog.

Betty said that she adopted Baby 16 years ago, and her pet is very protective of her.

Baby did not suffer any injuries during the attack.
