A corrections officer found himself on the wrong side of the law after he showed interest in having sex with a child.

Stephen Salamak, 37, of Lodi, New Jersey, who worked as a
corrections officer with the N.J. Department of Corrections was arrested and charged with receiving images of child sexual abuse, acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick announced.

Salamak was arrested at his home by special agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Salamak was released after posting $125,000 bond. He was placed under home confinement and he must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.

According to court documents, Salamak posted an ad on Craigslist, stating that he was looking for “women and moms who are into Cheese Pizza.”

Prosecutors said that “Cheese Pizza” are the code words for mothers “who are into perverted topics.”

An undercover officer pretending to be a mother of an 8-year-old girl made contact with Salamak through email.

Salamak showed interest in having sex with the girl and asked for photos of the child. He then asked what gets her in the mood.

“What gets her in the mood? Porn on TV or Internet?” He asked the mother, according to police.

After police executed a search warrant on his email, prosecutors said they found an email with five attachments, showing nude photos of several young girls.

Salamak was charged with one count of receiving child pornography.
