(Scroll down for video) A dog became extremely wild while being walked by a teenage girl and ripped off a baby’s scalp during a vicious attack, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Kent police said that they have arrested the 15-year-old girl, who was not identified, after being accused of failing to secure a wild dog in a public place.

The girl pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dog which was dangerously out of control at the Medway Magistrates’ Court

Judge Philip Statman sentenced the girl to 12 months of probation.

She was also ordered to complete 150 hours of community service.

The pitbull’s owners, Michael Thornton, 26, and Hayley Eldridge, 28, were charged with being the owner of a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control in a public place.

The two denied the allegations and are set to go on trial.

According to the police investigation, Thornton and Eldridge gave marijuana to the 15-year-old girl in exchange for walking their dog.

While the girl was walking the dog named Max, she passed by a children’s playground.

The girl walked into the playground despite a sign warning to keep dogs out of the play area.

The dog immediately became out of control and attacked 18-month-old Victoria Resetnjova.

The dog mauled the baby’s face and sunk its teeth into her scalp.

Several children attempted to pull the dog off the baby but they were unsuccessful.

The dog then ripped off the baby’s scalp.

The baby was rushed to the St. George’s Hospital in London, with serious injuries.

Doctors attempted to reattach the baby’s scalp, but they were unsuccessful.

The dog was shot by police.
