(Scroll down for video) A father of 6 children was jailed after killing his youngest child over her messy room.

The father from Cleveland, Ohio, pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his daughter because “she did not respect his rules by coming home late and not cleaning her room.”

64-year-old Jamal Mansour was upset that his daughter left “piles of clothes all over the room and half-eaten meals under her bed.”

Mansour, who is the owner of a gas station, ordered his 27-year-old daughter Tahani to clean her room. When she did not do so, he shot her twice in the face and once in the neck.

Tahani, who worked as a pharmacist at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, died while undergoing emergency brain surgery following the shooting.

Mansour pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and criminal assault. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison, six of those are mandatory.

While Mansour does not have a criminal history, court documents show that Rocky River police were called to the home once before when the father threatened to commit suicide because his “daughter was on a business trip in Las Vegas, Nevada.”

The report doesn’t name Tahani as the daughter in question, but friends confirmed that she was in Las Vegas at a national conference at that time.

In court, Mansour apologized to his family and to his daughter. He said that he misses his daughter very much and “he wishes he was the one who was dead.”

Mansour was born in Jordan. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1978, according to police.
