(Scroll down for video) A business owner in New York, is devastated after arriving to her shop and seeing that it was destroyed by a runaway garbage truck.

Henrietta police launched an investigation after the garbage truck rolled from a gas station into the “A Beautiful Mess” gift shop located on E. Henrietta Road.

According to witnesses at the scene, the incident unfolded at around 7:00 a.m. on Monday.

The driver of the garbage truck parked the vehicle at the Sunoco gas station across the street from the gift shop.

When the driver went to use the bathroom, the truck rolled across the street and slammed into the building owned by Jeri Flack.

The impact caused structural damage to the brick wall of the home.

A part of the roof was torn off and a window was shattered.

Flack said that she had a lifelong dream of owning a gift shop, and she opened the “A Beautiful Mess” just 4 months ago.

She received a call from police and immediately rushed over to the shop.

She felt a pit in her stomach when she saw her life dream destroyed just ahead of the busy holiday season.

Flack is not sure when she would be able to reopen the store.

She is in talks with the garbage truck owner to get compensation.
