A man is in trouble after going to his wife’s workplace and stealing her purse.
39-year-old Antonious Louis from Florida was arrested on Saturday, after police said he stole his wife’s purse at a store where she worked.
He then fled through the employer’s back door.
Louis was charged with robbery by sudden snatching and battery domestic violence after police said he injured his wife during the incident.
According to the police report, Louis walked into the Sprint store on 696 Cheney Highway in Titusville, where his wife worked.
Louis snatched his wife’s purse and fled with it. His wife ran after him in an attempt to get her possessions back.
At one point, Louise stumbled over a slab of concrete and fell, allowing his wife to reach him and grab the purse.
Louis grabbed her left arm and pulled her to the ground. A fight ensued over the purse.
When a witness intervened, Louis dropped the bag and ran away.
The woman told police that she had not seen or heard from her husband in about a week since she filed for divorce.
He was later caught and arrested. Bail was set at $15,000.
