A man will spend a long time in jail after stealing a plant that he believed was growing marijuana.

The Pennsylvania man was arrested after committing three burglaries during which he stole a $1 bill, purse, and an indoor plant.

21-year-old Maico Rosado Jr. was sentenced on Wednesday to 7 and a half to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery and three counts of burglary.

Police said that Rosado first went into Jabber Jaws Bar & Grille in Allentown, where he tried to steal items.

He was confronted by the bar’s owner, Scott Banks, who retracted when Rosado pointed a gun at him. Rosado took a keepsake dollar and left the restaurant.

From there, police said Rosado broke into a house where he took what he wrongly believed was a marijuana plant from homeowner Judith Schrayer.

Rosado was not done with his crime spree. He broke into a car that was parked in the 1600 block of Allen Street.

When the owner of the car, Tasha Miranda, confronted him, he grabbed her purse and ran away.

Miranda called the police, and Rosado was caught and arrested.
