(Scroll down for video) A family released shocking home surveillance video, showing a police officer stealing from their father’s house.

Authorities in Palm Beach, Florida, arrested the officer who was seen on video stealing from the deceased man’s home.

Deputy Jason Cooke was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft with a firearm after being accused of stealing money, jewelry, and prescription drugs from the home.

The incident began when officers were asked to check on 85-year-old Moe Rosoff.

Three deputies went to the home and found the elderly man collapsed on the bedroom floor. He was taken to a hospital, where he eventually died.

The family said that after their father was taken to the hospital, Cooke returned to the home by using the garage entry code, which they gave to police so that the deputies can check on their father.

Cooke had no idea that he was being recorded on home surveillance videos. He was seen opening all of the kitchen cabinets and looking for valuables.

The family handed the evidence over to police and Cooke was arrested. His bail was set at $28,000.
