(Scroll down for video) A supermarket executive was fired from his job after he was arrested when he arrived to a location, where he wanted to have sex with a child.

The former Food Lion grocery store executive was arrested as part of an undercover sting operation to catch sex predators.

A detective with the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force posed as a man who was looking for men who want to pay for sex with a 7-year-old girl.

54-year-old Paul Robert LaCroix answered the ad, and according to police, he was sexting with the “child” before driving 100 miles to meet her for sex.

LaCroix, who had been Food Lion’s vice president of pricing, was arrested when he arrived at the prearranged location in Hendersonville.

He was charged with conspiracy to commit a first-degree sex offense.

LaCroix was released after posting $100,000 secured bond.
