Police are trying to figure out why a teen killed a young boy and dumped his body in a garbage can, according to statement made by police in Washington.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 19-year-old Andrew Clayton Henckel, who lived in Kerrville, Texas, for allegedly drowning his nephew, 6-year-old Dayvid Pakko.

Henckel is facing one count of first-degree murder.

Henckel was booked into the Snohomish County jail, and his bail has been set at $1 million.

According to the police investigation, Henckel left Texas to visit family in Washington.

When Henckel visited Pakko’s home in the 15700 block of 44th Avenue West, he was asked to watch the 6-year-old boy for a few minutes.

When Henckel was alone with Pakko, the suspect dragged the victim to the bathroom.

Henckel then kept Pakko’s head underwater in the bathtub for 6 minutes.

Henckel the wrapped the boy in a blanket and put him in a cardboard box.

Henckel left the home and dumped the boy in a garbage can.

Henckel then went home and lied down on a couch.

Henckel’s family told police that the suspect does not have the mental capacity to tell police anything, but he graduated from high school, was in college for a year, and held a job for a year.
