(Scroll down for video) A mother was arrested for hurting a drug dealer in front of her teenage daughter.

33-year-old Stephanie Stinson of Florida, took her 15-year-old daughter to purchase drugs and wound up leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.

Winter Haven police were called to the scene of the hit and run at 1:30 a.m. Officers found 15-year-old Austin Lopez, lying injured on the road.

According to police, Stinson wanted to purchase marijuana and asked her 15-year-old daughter to set up the transaction.

The daughter contacted someone she knew and arranged to meet Lopez at a laundromat.

Stinson only had a $20 bill to pay for the drugs. She gave it to Lopez for a bag of marijuana and she expected to get a change in return.

However, Lopez did not give her change. Instead, he went to the car that brought him to the location.

As Lopez attempted to get into the passenger side of the vehicle, Stinson rammed her blue Dodge Avenger into the silver Chevrolet in an attempt to block the vehicle from leaving.

The impact launched Lopez over the hood of the vehicle and he landed in the road.

He suffered significant injuries, including facial fractures and other broken bones. Lopez was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said that Stinson stopped briefly to pull off a piece of her vehicle that was dragging along on the road. “At that point, both she and her daughter saw Lopez injured in the road,” police said.

Stinson’s estranged husband called police at 7:00 a.m. to report that he found his vehicle with damage. He said that Stinson sent him text messages, stating she had struck a vehicle and a person earlier.

One hour later, Stinson and her daughter turned themselves in to police. After questioning them, Stinson was taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving injury and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
