A woman who was determined to spend the night in jail got her wish by threatening police with a knife, according to police in North Carolina.

According to officers of the Wilmington Police Department, officers were called to the Port City Java cafe at 9:30 p.m. on a complaint of a woman smoking marijuana.

When officers arrived to the location near the corner of N. Front and Market streets, they found 23-year-old Jordan Leann Howard of Leland doing illegal drugs.

Officers asked her to leave the store, but she returned and asked to be arrested because she said it was cold outside.

When officers told Howard that she is not going to be arrested but rather cited for marijuana use, she became upset.

Police said that Howard then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab officers.

At that point, Howard got her wish and she was arrested.

She was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, carrying a concealed weapon other than a gun, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer.

She will likely spend many nights in prison. Her bail was set at $5,000.
