(Scroll down for video) A woman assaulted her own pregnant sister because she wanted to end her pregnancy, according to police in Pennsylvania.

Penn Hills police said that they have arrested 26-year-old Kimberly Hopf and 27-year-old Stefania Bishop after being accused of assaulting Kori Hopf who is in her first month of pregnancy.

Both suspects have been charged with aggravated assault on an unborn child.

They were booked into the Allegheny County Jail, pending a bail hearing.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Friday, while Kori was taking a shower in the home belonging to her father.

Police were called to the home on Indiana Road after Kimberly and Bishop attacked Kori.

Kori told police that while she was taking a shower, her sister and Bishop entered the bathroom and began assaulting her.

Kori defended her unborn child by curling up in a fetal position.

Kimberly kicked her sister in the thighs while Bishop punched the victim’s face.

Kimberly told her sister that she did not deserve to have a baby and she did not want to be an aunt to Kori’s child.

Kori refused medical treatment, claiming that she knew that her baby was not injured.
