A teenage boy snapped and used a gun to kill his foster mother and her two daughters in their home, according to police in Oregon.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said that on Tuesday, at around 8:45 p.m., the Douglas County 9-1-1 center received a report of homicides that occurred in the 400 block of Whispering Pines Way in Roseburg.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the residence.
At the scene, deputies located three victims and the suspect.
Kevin Wayne Adams, 16, has been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated murder.
He was booked into the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office and Members of the Douglas County Major Crimes Team have identified the victims as Donya Renee Adams, 55, Amory Rose Adams, 26, and
Payshience “Tia” Adams, 10.
The suspect’s foster dad, Robert Adams, called 9-1-1 to report he had returned home and discovered that his wife, Donya, his daughter, Amory, and his foster-daughter Payshience, were all shot dead by his foster son.
According to the police investigation, Kevin had a history of violent outbursts, neighbors of the family reported.
On Tuesday evening, when Robert left the home for several hours, Kevin pulled a gun and killed his foster mom and her two daughters.
Kevin then went outside of the home and waited for Robert to come back.
When Robert came back, Kevin told him that he killed Donya, Amory, and Payshience, and warned him not to go into the home.
Robert immediately called the police.
