(Scroll down for video) Two teenagers admitted to getting drunk and shooting at random people, according to police in Florida.
St. Pete Beach police said that they have arrested 18-year-old Bailey Jenkins and 18-year-old Thomas Loudin after being accused of shooting at a pedestrian and a man’s car.
Loudin and Jenkins were both charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and shooting or throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.
Both suspects were booked into jail, and bail was set at $10,000 each.
According to investigators, 51-year-old Kurt Alan Lang of Dallas, Texas, was walking with his cousin northbound on the west side of Gulf Boulevard, when they heard what sounded like a firecracker.
Lang grabbed his chest and said he thought he had just been shot.
The victim reported he observed a white vehicle driving at normal speeds at the time of the shooting.
Lang walked over to the Beachcomber Resort at 6200 Gulf Boulevard and called 911.
Lang was treated and transported to Bayfront Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
His injury appeared to be consistent with a small caliber round.
He underwent emergency surgery on his abdomen.
About an hour later, police received another call in the area of 6850 Beach Plaza in St. Pete Beach.
The caller said that a white Chevy Impala with four people in it was driving around with no head lights and the driver was partially out the window with a possible rifle.
Several minutes later, Alfreda Grinder, an Uber driver, called the police to say that a shot was fired from a white vehicle and a bullet shattered his car’s window.
Police located Loudin and Jenkins, and they were taken into custody.
Loudin and Jenkins both admitted to drinking alcohol before getting into their car.
They then drove around in the city and shot randomly at objects, people, and vehicles.
