Two sisters in Nigeria were shocked to learn that their brothers gang raped their daughters every time they were left home alone with them.

Lagos police said that they have arrested 35-year-old Saviour Philip and 17-year-old Paul Philip after being accused of having sex with their nieces, who are 8 and 13 years old.

Both suspects have been charged with rape.

Saviour and Paul were booked into jail, and bail has been set at $1,125.

According to the police investigation, the mothers of the two young victims, Ekaette and her twin sister Rachel, moved into their brothers’ home after being unable to pay for their own apartments.

While the children were left home alone with their uncles on Olowolagba Street, Saviour and Paul took chances raping the two girls.

The two brothers then warned that they would be killed if anyone found out about the abuse.

The 13-year-old girl took the abuse on a nearly daily basis and was afraid to tell anyone.

One day, Ekaette overheard her 13-year-old daughter insulting Saviour.

Ekaette grabbed a stick and beat her daughter.

That is when the girl revealed that she and her 8-year-old cousin were being raped nearly every day.

Ekaette and Rachel went to the police station and filed a complaint after which Saviour and Paul were arrested.
