70-year-old man kicks 2 female flight attendants because he did not want to fasten his seatbelt

An elderly man became angry after being told to fasten his seatbelt for his own safety, according to police in Japan.

Tokyo police said that they have arrested 70-year-old Yoshitoshi Aida after being accused of kicking two female flight attendants during an argument over his seatbelt.

Aida is facing charges of assault and disrupting a commercial aircraft.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Wednesday, at around 9:00 p.m.

Aida was traveling on a Japan Airlines flight from Aomori to Haneda when he consumed a large amount of alcoholic beverages.

When it came time to land the plane, two female flight attendants walked through the aisles to make sure that all the passengers have fastened their seatbelts.

When the flight attendants realized that the elderly man did not fasten his seatbelt, they urged him to do so.

Aida became angry because he did not want to fasten his seatbelt.

An argument broke out, and Aida kicked both flight attendants, aged 24 and 31.

Aida was arrested immediately upon landing.

The flight attendants had to take 4 weeks off work until their injuries healed.
