A female politician is being criticized for physically attacking her male secretary and body shaming him, according to police in Japan.

Saitama police said that they had completed their investigation into the alleged assault that occurred when 43-year-old Mayuko Toyota of the Liberal Democratic Party was traveling in a car with her secretary.

Police handed over their findings to prosecutors who will determine whether to proceed with assault charges.

Toyota held a seat in the Lower House for two terms until she was voted out of office following the assault allegations.

The lawmaker also worked at the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry.

According to the complaint filed by the Toyota’s 50-year-old secretary, the lawmaker was sitting in the back seat of his car while he was driving her.

At some point, she began yelling at her secretary.

She then reached over to the driver’s seat and struck him several times.

The secretary claimed that he was hit over the head and in the face.

Toyota also allegedly humiliated and body shamed her secretary.

Toyota allegedly called him “baldy,” and yelled “you should die,” while she was striking him.

Toyota denied the allegations despite the fact that an audio was released in which she could be heard yelling at her secretary.

The secretary could also be heard apologizing to her boss and asking her to stop hitting him.
