A female nurse posed as a male doctor to solicit nude photographs from unsuspecting women she met on the Internet, according to police in Scotland.
Ayrshire police said that they have arrested 27-year-old Adele Rennie after being accused of telling numerous women and girls that she was Dr. David Graham.
Rennie pleaded guilty to 18 counts of stalking causing fear and alarm and several sexual offenses at the Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane ordered Rennie to register as a sex offender.
McFarlane warned that she will impose a prison sentence next month.
According to the police investigation, Rennie worked as a nurse at the Crosshouse Hospital.
During that time, Rennie contacted women and girls on social media sites, including Facebook, and told them that she was Dr. David Graham.
She befriended them and exchanged text messages about sex.
Rennie then sent them photos of male genitals and solicited nude photos from her victims.
Rennie made excuses for why she could not meet them in person and never answered her phone.
Eventually, Rennie used a voice changer to speak with her victims.
Some of her victims were younger than 18-years-old.
Rennie also posed as Dr. Graham on Tinder.
Her sex crimes came to light when her cell phone pocket-dialed one of her victims who heard her speak in the background and realized that the doctor was really a woman.
Prosecutors told the court that they have identified more than 10 victims.
Crosshouse Hospital fired Rennie when they learned about the allegations.
