A woman who lived with her grandfather flew into a rage and stabbed the man to death in the kitchen of their home, according to police in Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Patricia Diacson after being accused of stabbing 80-year-old Robert Girard 41 times.
Diacson has been charged with Diocson is charged with murder and possession of an instrument of crime.
She was booked into jail, pending a bail hearing.
According to the police investigation, Diacson called police at around 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, to report that her grandfather was lying naked on the kitchen floor in a pool of blood.
Police officers who arrived at the home in Port Richmond on the 2500 block of East Lehigh Avenue, found Girard stabbed to death on the kitchen floor.
Girard had 41 stab wounds.
Diacson told police that she came home to find her grandfather naked on the kitchen floor.
Police reviewed video surveillance, which showed that nobody entered the home except for Diacson.
When confronted with the evidence, Diacson admitted to stabbing him because he abused her.
The two lived together for some time.
Neighbors told police that they never saw the grandfather and granddaughter arguing with each other.
