A scorned boyfriend who harassed his former girlfriend by sending her nasty text messages was ordered to write nice things about her and submit his comments to the court, according to court documents in Hawaii.

Maui police said that they have arrested 30-year-old Daren Young after violating a restraining order.

Young’s former girlfriend filed for the restraining order after being harassed following their break-up.

However, Young ignored the order and sent his girlfriend, who was not identified, 144 nasty text messages.

In court, Young pleaded no contest to violating a restraining order.

Judge Rhonda Loo ordered Young to write 144 nice things about his former girlfriend and submit them to the court.

Young was also sentenced to 2 years of probation, a $2,400 fine, as well as 200 hours of community service.

The boyfriend spent 6 months in jail before sentencing.

Young promised to move on with his life and never contact his former girlfriend.
