Kindergarten teacher stole children’s underwear and traded child porn online

Parents are shocked over the arrest of a man who was a trusted kindergarten teacher and camp coordinator.

The Department of Homeland Security arrested the teacher in New York after being tipped off by his inappropriate actions online.

Authorities began investing the teacher who was using Chatstep, an app which is reportedly used by pedophiles to distribute child pornography.

They tracked the IP address to the teacher and obtained a search warrant.

Detectives went to the home of 30-year-old Roland Yockel who lives with his mother in Brockport and found many DVDs of child pornography.

Authorities said that they also found children’s underwear hidden underneath Yockel’s mattress.

Yockel who was a kindergarten teacher at Ginther School, where he had 21 children in his class, admitted to being addicted child porn but claimed that he never molested any children.

Yockel told detectives that he stole underwear from children’s backpacks at the summer camp where he worked.

In addition, Yockel’s mother runs a babysitting service in his home and he was around those children as well.

School officials have brought in counselors to coach parents on how to speak to their children in order to find out if they were ever touched inappropriately by their teacher.
