A man in the United Kingdom was jailed for beating his girlfriend in a jealous rage during a threesome with his friend.

Police were called to the home in Altrincham, Manchester, after 46-year-old John Hughes punched his girlfriend in the face, bit her nose and then hit her on the head.

By the time police arrived, Hughes had left the home and he sent his girlfriend a text message calling her names. The woman was found with cuts and bruises on her face and body.

After he was arrested, Hughes told detectives that he and his girlfriend wanted to “spice up their relationship” so he suggested a threesome with his friend Jimmy.

His girlfriend was initially reluctant but she eventually agreed. Hughes said that he went out to buy drinks, and when he returned, he found his wife and his friend already engaging in sex acts.

The defendant, who was a semi-professional boxer during his high school years and is well built, lost his temper and attacked his girlfriend in a jealous fit of rage.

Hughes told the court that he is very ashamed of his actions. Hughes pleaded guilty to ABH (actual bodily harm) at the Minshull Street Crown Court and was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

The court heard that the couple has reconciled and they are now together.
