Man who hates pedophiles arrested after he arrived at McDonald’s to meet underage girlBy Alexis Bell 5:42 AM November 13, 2017
A married father was arrested after having an ongoing sexually explicit conversation with a teenage girl.
32-year-old Richard Palmer of Australia spoke to the 15-year-old girl for a few months on social media before her mother discovered the sexually explicit conversations.
The mother blocked Palmer from her daughter’s social media account.
The mother then filed a complaint with police. Undercover detectives then took over the 15-year-old girl’s social media account to catch the pervert.
Police said that Palmer was happy to see that the girl was back online. He said that it was “a nice surprise” to see her again, according to police.
Detectives said that Palmer began asking the girl for photos of herself despite being told that she was 15 years old.
The detectives wrote in a message: “You don’t treat me like I’m a dumb 15-year-old girl.”
To which Palmer replied: “You’re not. I think you’re a nice young lady.”
He then arranged to meet the girl at a McDonald’s in Parramatta, at 11:00 a.m. When he arrived, detectives were waiting for him and Palmer was arrested.
Palmer claimed that this behavior was “out of his character” and called himself a “stupid idiot.”
As he was being led away from McDonald’s by detectives, Palmer was heard on video saying: “I hate pedophiles, so go figure.”
