A man was arrested after injuring his girlfriend when she refused to have sex with him.

Police in Florida, said that officers were dispatched to a home
On the 4000 block of White Road in Melbourne, at around 3:00 a.m., on Thursday.

The victim told officers that her boyfriend, 31-year-old Nathan Hammond, choked her, hit her, and threatening her with a machete when she did not want to have sex with him.

Officers noted bruises on the woman’s neck, which she said were caused when Hammond held the machete to her neck and threatening her by saying “tonight’s the night you die.”

She also had an injury to her eye.

The woman told police that as they were preparing for bed, Hammond asked her for sex. When she said “no,” he slapped her on the backside several times.

He then choked her to the point where she lost consciousness, according to the police report. At some point, Hammond grabbed the machete and pushed it into the woman’s neck, causing the injuries.

He then left the apartment. Hammond was pulled over by police for passing a red light.

He pulled over but fled on foot. Officers used a Taser to subdue Hammond who was drunk.

Hammond was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, domestic battery by strangulation, resisting an officer without violence, and driving under the influence.
