Pervert asks for directions from mother and 8-year-old daughter while touching his private partsBy Emily Lewis 12:24 PM November 21, 2017
A woman suffered severe injuries to her face after being beaten by a pervert who fondled himself in front of a mother and her 8-year-old daughter, according to police in Washington.
35-year-old Amanda Edwards of Seattle said that on Monday, at around 6:30 p.m., she was approached by a driver who asked her for directions outside the Safeway supermarket located near her home.
She noticed that the man was fondling his private parts and smiling.
She quickly noted the man’s license plate number as he drove away.
Edwards then noticed that the car pulled up in front of a mother and her 8-year-old daughter.
Edwards decided to warn the mother about the pervert in order to protect the young child.
A few minutes later, the man approached Edwards from behind and beat her.
Edwards fell unconscious on the ground.
She later woke up and ran home.
Edwards wrote about her ordeal on Facebook: “Hello Facebook friends and family. I’m in need of your help. It’s taking me a lot of courage to ask through social media but here it goes.
“A few days back, I was attacked by a man in the Twin Lakes Federal Way area off of 21st Avenue, at around 6:30 p.m. I was approached by a man in front of the store asking for directions.
“As I went to give them to him, I realized that he was fondling himself. I asked for him to leave so he decided to pull up and ask a lady with her 8-year-old girl.
“I started to take out my phone to get a photo of his plates but my battery was too low. So I continued home. As I hit the beginning of my block, he ran up and attacked me from behind.
“The next thing I know is getting up and running home not realizing that he had knocked me out and fractured my face in 4 places. Thankfully, I was not killed or raped but let’s not give this guy the opportunity to try this again to someone else. Ladies be careful out there it really can happen when least expected!”
Edwards will need surgery to correct the damage to her face.
Police later notified Edwards that they have arrested the man after being identified through Safeway’s security surveillance system.
Edwards described the man as being about 30-years-old and driving a beat up 4-door white sedan, possibly a Ford Focus.
