A police officer said that he punched a teenager in the face because he had sex with his preteen daughter, according to police in Florida.
The Opa-Locka Police Department said that 37-year-old Lowrie Simon was arrested after breaking the jaw of 17-year-old Kristian Stanley.
Simon was charged with one count of battery.
He was booked into jail and his bail was set at $5,000.
The Opa-Locka Police Department said that Simon was placed on paid administrative leave.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded at the Pembroke Park Church of Christ on Sunday, at around 8:30 a.m.
Simon confronted Stanley because the police officer believed that the teen was having sex with his 12-year-old daughter.
When Stanley denied the allegations, Simon punched him in the face.
