A man who was a well-known educator was arrested after police caught him raping a boy.
Police officers in Arkansas stopped to check on a car in the parking lot of the Pike View Early Childhood Center.
North Little Rock police officers walked over to the car and used their flashlights to see if there was anyone inside the vehicle.
A 14-year-old boy stuck his head out of the car window and told police that he was forced into having sex with 27-year-old George Haney.
The boy told police that he met Haney on a dating app and agreed to meet him in person. Haney picked the boy up with his car and allegedly forced the teen to engage in sexual activity.
Haney was the director of the Pulaski County Youth Services, which is an after-school program run out of the Second Baptist Church.
He was also a substitute teacher for children who are the same age as his victim. His latest substituting job was last week.
Officials in Pulaski County said that Haney was fired from his job after he was arrested for 2 counts of rape. He is being held without bail pending a court appearance.
