A teenager was jailed for raping two children despite claiming that one of the victims made sexual advances towards him.

19-year-old Carlo Jermaine Love of Mississippi County, Arkansas, was accused of raping two girls who were 8-years-old and 11-years-old.

During the initial investigation, Love, who was 18-years-old at the time, told detectives that one of the girls was “known to be sexually active.”

He claimed that one of the girls made sexual advances towards him. The victim denied the claim.

According to the girls, Love asked them if they wanted to play a game.

When they agreed, he took them into a room and locked the door behind them.

He then raped both girls, police said.

Police obtained evidence through a sexual assault examination. Authorities noted that they found bruises on the 11-year-old girl.

In court, Love pleaded guilty to rape. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 years of suspended imposition of sentence.

Love must register as a sex offender.
