An armed robber was busted after he shot himself in the penis while trying to put stolen goods in his pocket.
19-year-old Terrion Pouncy of Chicago, Illinois, walked into the Maxwell Street Express, which is famous for their hot dogs.
Pouncy held two employees at gunpoint and demanded they hand over their wallets, according to Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Erin Antonietti,
The two men, aged 39 and 45, did as they were told, and handed over their possessions.
Pouncy then left the store.
As he fled, he tried to put the stolen items into his pocket.
He accidentally pulled the trigger from the gun and shot himself in his manhood.
Pouncy kept running as he did not want to be caught. He then stopped at a gas station, where he called 911.
Meanwhile, the victims called the police to report the robbery, which was captured on surveillance video.
Pouncy was arrested at the hospital after his clothing was found to be a match to the clothes the armed robber was seen wearing in the surveillance video.
Officers recovered the wallets, which Pouncy was accused of stealing, and the .38 caliber gun that he used in the robbery and to shoot himself.
Pouncy was charged with two counts of armed robbery.
