A man with a history of violence and rape managed to gain access to a disabled woman.

Police in North Carolina arrested the man in Raleigh for rape and assault on a disabled person.

Michael Brooks Jr., 44, of Stem, is accused of kidnapping and strangling the 68-year-old disabled woman. He caused the woman to lose consciousness before raping her.

Police said that the woman suffered serious injuries due to the strangulation, including bleeding from the eyes and pain in her neck.

After raping the woman, Brooks stole her underwear and left her home.

Police did not yet disclose how Brooks gained access to the victim’s apartment or if he knew the victim before the attack.
