A car thief shot himself in the behind while fleeing from police, according to police in Nebraska.
Omaha police said that they have arrested 25-year-old Tyler Williams after being accused of stealing a car.
He also had two outstanding warrants.
Williams was booked into jail, pending a bail hearing.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Monday.
The police were called after two people were seen in a stolen car.
When police approached the vehicle, the two suspects jumped out of the car and fled.
Police ran after the two suspects.
Williams jumped on a hoverboard in an attempt to escape from police.
However, Williams fell off the hoverboard.
When Williams hit the ground, his gun went off, firing a shot into his behind.
Police later caught up with Williams at Walmart.
Williams was hiding behind clothes in the women’s section.
While being escorted out of the store, Williams advised police that he was shot in the behind.
He was taken to the Bergan Mercy Trauma, where he was treated and released to police.
