Man arrested after woman mistook sausage roll for his penisBy Tanya Clark 5:17 AM December 3, 2017
A woman in the United Kingdom called police after seeing a man holding something that she thought was his penis.
The woman told police that the man was standing outside of the McDonald’s on Grainger Street in Newcastle and had his manhood sticking out from the top of his pants.
The woman said that the man “flashed his penis” before going into McDonald’s. The woman gave police a description of the suspect.
“He was waving it about. On seeing me, he stared at me for five to 10 seconds,” the woman told police.
Officers entered the restaurant and found 30-year-old Daniel Proctor in the bathroom area.
Proctor was initially charged with indecent exposure but he reportedly told police that he was carrying out a prank.
He showed police that he used a sausage roll that he bought from Greggs. Proctor admitted that he held the sausage near his groin.
The charges of indecent exposure were dropped but Proctor was not released. Instead, he was charged with behaving in a disorderly manner.
Proctor, who did not appear at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court, was represented by his attorney, Alanna Wesencraft, who claimed that his client has mental health issues.
The judge found him guilty in his absence for “behaving in a disorderly manner, which caused harassment, alarm or distress,” according to court records.
Proctor was sentenced to a 6-month conditional discharge.
