Man kissed sleeping woman on crowded train before running away

A woman who was sleeping on a crowded train woke up to a man kissing her without her consent, according to police in Japan.

Osaka police said that they have arrested 33-year-old Takahiro Ueda after being accused of sexually assaulting the 20-year-old woman.

Ueda has been charged with one count of committing an indecent act.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on a train from the Kyobashi Station to the Kansai Airport.

At around 2:00 p.m., when the train made a scheduled stop at the Hineno Station, Ueda rushed over to the sleeping woman and kissed her.

The train was crowded and many passengers witnessed the indecent act.

Ueda then ran out of the train and disappeared into the crowd.

The woman called the police and reported the incident.

Police reviewed security camera footage and managed to track down Ueda.

Witnesses told police that they saw Ueda walking around on the train searching for a woman to kiss.

During questioning by police, Ueda refused to say why he kissed the sleeping woman.
