A man had a bizarre excuse as to why he had sex with his girlfriend after she died.

39-year-old Aaron Graser of Willimantic, Connecticut, pleaded guilty to having sex with his dead girlfriend because he thought it would wake her up, according to court documents.

Graser called 911 to report that his girlfriend was unresponsive.

He told the police that he found his girlfriend hunched over with heroin and drug paraphernalia in her lap.

According to the police report, Graser stated that he listened to the victim and he heard gurgling sounds.

Graser told the officers that he thought that the best way to wake her up would be to have sex with her because she hated having sex with him.

However, when she failed to wake up, he put on his pants and called for help.

An autopsy revealed that the victim had been deceased at the time that Graser had sex with her.

A forensic doctor testified that the gurgling sound he heard could have been gases that left the woman’s body when it began to decompose.

Graser pleaded guilty to fourth-degree sexual assault on a corpse and violation of probation. He was sentenced to one year in prison.

Graser will not have to register as a sex offender because based upon the facts in this case, the judge deemed that he is not a risk to the public.

The autopsy revealed that the woman died of a drug overdose and a toxicology report showed that she had high levels of fentanyl, heroin, and other synthetic drugs in her body at the time of her death.
