A man acted in a reckless manner by moving an ambulance from a parking space while paramedics were trying to help a dying woman in the back of the vehicle, according to police in the United Kingdom.

The Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses, following the unauthorized moving of the ambulance in Newbury.

The incident took place in Malt Court, Pelican Lane on Thursday around 2:00 p.m.

While ambulance staff were treating the patient in the rear of the ambulance, an offender got into the cab of the vehicle, removed the handbrake and moved it.

He then drove his vehicle into a car parking space, which the ambulance had been blocking. The sudden movement of the ambulance caused distress and discomfort to the patient who was being treated at the time.

The offender is a white man, about 50 years old and around 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slim build. He had sandy or grey messy hair, and was wearing a dark khaki colored jacket, light blue jeans and suede boots.

He was driving a red Mini Cooper with a registration plate starting RJ60.

Investigating officer PC Nick Easener, based at Newbury police station, said: “There was no communication between the offender and the ambulance crew prior to the ambulance being moved.

“The offender moved the ambulance in order to free up a parking space for himself, without considering if anyone was receiving treatment at the time.

“His actions could have had very serious consequences for the patient, who was receiving emergency care.

“There were other members of the public in the area at the time of the incident, and I am appealing for anyone with any information to come forward and contact the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”

(Scroll down for video) A border patrol agent placed the United States in danger by allowing dangerous illegal immigrants into the country in exchange for sex, according to police in California.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer Jose Luis Cota pleaded guilty in federal court to bribery and alien smuggling, admitting that he accepted cash and sexual favors from smugglers in exchange for permitting them to bring undocumented aliens into the United States without inspection through Cota’s lane at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Miriam Juarez-Herrera and Gilberto Aguilar-Martinez, the two Mexican nationals who were working with Cota to commit these crimes, pleaded guilty last week.

Cota, a 15-year veteran with Customs and Border Protection, was arrested following an alien smuggling event with co-defendants Juarez-Herrera and Aguilar-Martinez.

According to court documents, Cota confessed to his crimes at the time of his arrest.

The arrests of Cota, Juarez-Herrera and Aguilar-Martinez occurred after a lengthy investigation conducted by the Border Corruption Task Force (“BCTF”), which is composed of agents and officers working at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Customs and Border Protection – Office of Professional Responsibility, Customs and Border Protection – Field Operations, and U.S. Border Patrol.

According to his plea agreement, Cota pleaded guilty to four separate crimes – three counts of bringing in unlawful aliens for financial gain and one count of bribery of a public official.

In his agreement, Cota admitted that he conspired with Juarez-Herrera to smuggle and transport unlawful aliens from Mexico into the United States for financial gain – charging as much as $15,000 per person.

Cota and Juarez-Herrera had an agreement that as part of the criminal enterprise, Juarez-Herrera would locate and recruit undocumented aliens in Mexico, who wanted to be smuggled into the United States.

These undocumented aliens would then be smuggled through Cota’s vehicle primary lane at the San Ysidro, California Port of Entry.

Cota also agreed with Juarez-Herrera to obtain the highest smuggling fee from the undocumented aliens and to obtain fraudulent entry documents for the smuggling enterprise.

Finally, Cota received bribes from Juarez-Herrera in the form of cash and sexual favors in exchange for permitting Juarez-Herrera and the undocumented aliens whom she smuggled to enter the United States without inspection through Cota’s primary vehicle inspection lane at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Cota admitted that he allowed Juarez-Herrera to successfully smuggle at least ten undocumented aliens from Mexico into the United States.

After Juarez-Herrera successfully crossed the undocumented aliens into the United States, Cota received his bribes, according to court documents.

Following one event, Cota admitted to receiving $13,000 in cash for allowing two undocumented aliens to illegally enter the United States through his inspection lane.

Cota deposited more than $44,000 in cash bribes into his bank accounts at the time he was under investigation.

In addition, federal agents seized more than $17,000 in cash bribes from Cota’s residence following a lawfully executed search warrant.

Pursuant to the terms of his plea agreement, all of this cash will be forfeited to the United States.

How to go on vacation without spending a lot of money

Taking a vacation every now and then is not a luxury as it very important for every person to take a break from the stresses of everyday life and have a change of scenery.

People tend to get depressed after being in the same routine for long periods of time. Taking a vacation will help you rejuvenate, and function better at home and at work.

Going on vacation does not have to be expensive. Here are some tips that will help you save money while enjoying yourself at your destination.

Travel off-season. This will save a lot of money on logging and entertainment, and you won’t have to wait on long lines at attractions or compete for a seat at the top restaurants as places are less crowded.

Book a vacation rental apartment rather than a hotel room.

There are many money saving benefits to this, as apartments are cheaper and bigger. They may be a 10 minute or so walk to the main attractions, but the money savings makes the walk worth it.

Apartments have full kitchens. The kitchens are usually equipped with an electric stove top, a percolator, cups, cooking utensils, pots and pans.

Make sure to check that the apartment has a full size refrigerator and freezer.

When you arrive at your vacation spot, look for the supermarkets where the local residents shop. Don’t shop at the groceries or convenience store in the tourist area.

Then, buy all the food that you will need for the duration of your trip.

Prepare your own sandwiches and snacks to take along when you go out touring as food prices at tourist destinations are very expensive.

Cook your own meals. Although you may not be in the mood of cooking while you are on vacation, the savings will be huge and well worth it.

If you have to buy souvenirs or gifts to take home,
go to stores where the locals shop rather than at the tourist destinations in order to realize big savings.

Use local transportation. Don’t just get into a taxi and waste your money. Instead, check the Internet for the schedules of the local buses and trains to your destinations.

Before leaving for the vacation, put aside some spending money. Be realistic on how much you can spend.

When you are on vacation and you relax, you might be tempted to spend more money. Don’t do it, stick to your budget and only use cash instead of credit cards.

Look for free entertainment as some governments provide shows, concerts and free admission to museums among other perks to attract tourists.
