4-year-old girl gets drunk and suffers a hangover after restaurant gave her vodka instead of fruit juiceBy Emily Lewis 12:16 PM January 1, 2018
The parents of a young girl in the United Kingdom are angry after a restaurant gave their child alcohol instead of fruit juice.
33-year-old Mark Thomas and 29-year-old Kathryn Wilson of Cheshire said that they went to the Frankie & Benny’s restaurant along with their 4-year-old daughter Evelyn Thomas.
During the meal, Evelyn wanted something to drink as she became very thirsty.
Mark ordered a non-alcoholic fruit cocktail for his child.
When the waiter brought the drink, Evelyn quickly gulped down nearly the entire glass.
She then pushed it away, saying that it tasted bad.
Moments later, the waiter came running over to the couple to say that the drink contained vodka.
The waiter apologized to Mark and Kathryn, saying that two drinks were accidentally mixed-up.
Mark and Kathryn became extremely nervous as their child was just 4-year-old and had quite a lot of vodka for her age.
Evelyn quickly began showing sign of intoxication.
She stood up on a table and began dancing.
She then went to the bathroom and laughed at the mirror.
Evelyn’s parents became concerned and took their child to the hospital.
Tests were done and doctors determined that the girl was intoxicated.
The girl was told to sleep off the alcohol and was warned about suffering a nasty hangover.
The following morning, Evelyn woke up with a really bad headache.
Mark said that Frankie & Benny’s offered them a free meal voucher for their trouble.
