A man in the United Kingdom was arrested after he came up with a sophisticated plan in order to get graphic photos of women for his own sexual gratification.

An off-duty detective inspector for the Metropolitan Police (MET) spotted 43-year-old Andrew Macrae setting the case of his laptop down between a woman’s legs on a platform at the Clapham Junction.

The inspector saw a pen sticking out the case. Upon taking a closer look, he saw that the innocent looking pen contained a hidden camera.

Macrae, who was the vice president of the entertainment company Live Nation, was arrested.

Officers who searched his home found a hard drive containing over 40,000 photos that he took from strangers for his own sexual gratification.

Police discovered that Macrae, who is a married father of 1 child, had installed a hidden camera in the guest bedroom of his home and recorded at least one guest.

He also recorded a woman through the window of her home while she was undergoing a waxing treatment. He also managed to secretly enter the woman’s home where he took photos of himself wearing the woman’s underwear.

Macrae pleaded guilty to seven counts of voyeurism and one count of outraging public decency at the Inner London Crown Court.

Judge Jeremy Donne QC handed him a 20-month sentence, which was suspended for 2 years.

He was ordered to stay away from the victim, he must register as a sex offender for 10 years, and he has to participate in a sexual offenders’ rehabilitation program.
