Husband slapped with burglary charge after entering love rival’s home and recording him secretly having sex with his wifeBy Tanya Clark 2:00 PM January 23, 2018
A husband was left broken-hearted after catching his wife cheating on him with another man.
To make matters worse, the husband now faces up to 15 years in jail after being charged with burglary and unlawful survivance for entering the home of his love rival without permission.
37-year-old Sean Donis of New Jersey said that his wife Nancy asked him to care for their son, now 5-year-old, while she went out for dinner with friends in Elizabeth.
While watching his son, Donis was looking for his child’s iPad.
He activated the Find My iPhone app on the iPad and he realized that it had traveled across Rockland County, New York.
Donis, who is a Florist in New Jersey, decided to travel to the location as he had suspected his wife of cheating and he wanted to catch her red-handed.
At the time, Nancy, 38, worked in the billing department of an orthopedics office in Clifton.
Her boss, Albert Lopez, 58, lives in Rockland County.
Donis drove to Lopez’s home and found his wife’s vehicle parked in her boss’ driveway.
The heartbroken husband walked into the home through an unlocked door and went to the upstairs bedroom.
There he found his wife naked in bed with her boss.
Nancy jumped out of the bed while her boss ordered Donis out of his home.
He left armed with a 35-second video, which showed proof of her cheating.
Nancy subsequently filed for divorce and the couple’s 6-year-old marriage ended.
Recently, Donis was notified that he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of unlawful surveillance and felony burglary over the incident.
Donis’ lawyer at first dismissed the charges, saying that no jury will find his client guilty but prosecutors pushed the case to trial.
At the start of the trial, prosecutors told the court that the cheating of the defendant’s wife did not give Donis a green light to barge into someone’s home and record him.
Donis has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his mounting legal costs.
The husband wrote: “Hi my name is Sean Donis. I am a single father of two boys. I was married for six years until one night, I was home with my two kids while my then wife was going out to dinner with her friends.
“In the evening, I realized that my son’s iPad was missing. I used the track my iPad app and saw that it was in the Garden State Pkwy heading towards the NY state line. I ended up following the GPS signal all the way to Pomona, New York, where I found my then wife’s car.
“That’s when I caught my wife having sex with her boss. Now, it’s almost 2 years later and I am being charged with felony burglary. This could put me in jail for 15 years. I now have to pay almost $20,000 in lawyer’s fees just to prove my innocence on a bogus charge.”
