Police were called after a man was stabbed to death on his way home from a party, according to authorities in Australia.

Paramedics arrived to the scene in Strathmerton, Victoria, to find a man suffering from stab wounds to the upper body and neck.

They tried to revive the 32-year-old victim but he soon succumbed to his injuries.

Police arrested the victim’s neighbor, 46-year-old Robert Strucelj, on charges of murder.

According to police, Strucelj was awoken from his sleep at 1:30 a.m. by noise from the victim and his friends. Strucelj armed himself with a knife and went outside to confront the loud group.
