Man kills his mother’s lesbian partner and her 11-year-old daughterBy Mason White 6:55 AM January 4, 2018
A man was arrested for the murder of his mother’s girlfriend and her daughter.
Marlin Larice Joseph, 26, of Florida is being held without bond on two counts of first-degree murder over the deaths.
Joseph’s mother, Robin Denson, was dating 36-year-old Kaladaa Crowell. Crowell was the mother of 11-year-old Kyra Inglett.
Denson and her children moved into the home that belonged to Crowell.
After Joseph was released from prison after serving a 10-month sentence for battery of a child, he moved into the home with his mother and her lover.
According to West Palm Beach police, Joseph got into an argument with Crowell about her daughter’s “bad attitude.”
Joseph did not like the way the 11-year-old girl was “getting along with the other children who lived in the home.”
During the argument, Joseph pulled a gun and shot Crowell and Inglett.
The homeowner and her daughter died of their injuries.
After the shooting, Joseph fled the scene. His mother publicly called for her son to turn himself into police.
“I love my son, but I loved Kyra and Kaladaa too. I just want him to turn himself in. I know the family wants justice. I want justice too,” Denson said.
He did not do so. Instead, he hid at his cousin’s house for 4 days.
Police finally caught him when the cousin, Jarvarie Williams, 27, used Joseph’s credit card to get him money. Police tracked down Williams who denied knowing about the whereabouts of Joseph.
However, police located Joseph in an apartment complex in Lake Worth.
Williams has been arrested for giving false information to a law enforcement officer. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
