Man throws woman from balcony at bar for turning off the music

A man who accused a woman of turning off the music at a bar threw her off a balcony, according to police in Zimbabwe.

Harare police said that they have arrested 32-year-old Trymore Mavhunga after being accused of assaulting 33-year-old Tarisai Zheke.

Mavhunga has been charged with assault.

He was booked into jail and Magistrate Josephine Sande set bail at $50.

Sande ordered Mavhunga to stay away from Zheke.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Friday, at around 9:00 p.m.

Mavhunga and Zheke were drinking at the Mashazhike Beerhall.

At some point, the music was turned off.

Mavhunga did not like that the music was turned off and he began harassing Zheke.

Mavhunga accused the woman of turning off the music.

He then began attacking Zheke.

Mavhunga put his hands around her neck and choked her.

He then pushed Zheke onto the balcony of the bar.

Mavhunga continued to squeeze her neck until Zheke fell from the balcony and landed on the ground below.

Mavhunga then fled the scene.

Zheke was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for a fractured leg.
