Police were called after a man attempted to ship a package with the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Workers found the package to be suspicious and they refused to accept it.

According to Police in Louisiana, the man arrived at the post office at about 4:00 p.m. with the heavy box and he refused to take it back home.

He told workers that it “was theirs to worry about,” and he left. Chief Randy Fandal said that the writings on the package caused concern.

Slidell Police officers shut down the entire area surrounding the post office. The St. Tammany Bomb Squad was called to the scene to inspect the package.

At around 8:00 p.m., Slidell Police tweeted about the suspicious package and said that it was found to be filled with 70 pounds of human feces or sewage.

“There is a person of interest being questioned at this time and he appears to have some mental health issues,” police said.

The man was taken for a medical evaluation.
