Man drove tank through convenience store to steal wine

A man who desperately wanted a bottle of wine in the middle of the night used a military tank to bust through the wall of a convenience store, according to police in Russia.

Apatity police said that they have arrested the 28-year-old man, who was not identified, for stealing the military tank, damaging the convenience store, and stealing the bottle of wine.

The suspect is facing charges of theft and criminal damage.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Wednesday.

The man decided that he wanted a bottle of red wine but all shops in town were already closed for the night.

He then went to a nearby military school and stole a tank.

The suspect drove through a forest and demolished several cars in town.

He approached the Family convenience store and rammed the tank through the wall.

He climbed out of the tank and went into the store.

He emerged moments later holding a red bottle of wine.

The suspect then walked away from the scene, leaving the tank halfway in the store.

Luckily, nobody was hurt.
