A mother, her son, and 2 of his classmates were arrested after getting into a fight.
Police in North Carolina were called to a school after the mother got into a fight with students.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said that 32-year-old Olga Cortez followed her son’s bus to the Coulwood Middle School on Kentberry Drive.
When the students got off the bus, Cortez confronted two 13-year-old male students who she believed were bullying her son.
Police said that Cortez was “verbally irate” and one of the teenagers physically assaulted her.
That’s when Cortez walked back to her car, got a knife, and started waving it in the air in front the two students, according to police.
The mother along with her son and the two alleged bullies were arrested.
Cortez was charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of possessing a weapon on school grounds.
All of the three teens involved were charged with public affray. The two 13-year-olds were also charged with simple assault.
