A teacher who volunteered at her father-in-law’s church has been accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage student, according to police in Texas.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said that they have opened an investigation into an alleged sexual assault and improper relationship between a student and an educator.
31-year-old Nicole Marie Faires Andrews, a former Leander ISD teacher at Cedar Park Middle School, was arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with a minor.
The victim did not attend the Cedar Park Middle School.
Andrews allegedly had been having an on-going relationship with the victim after they met at the Church at Canyon Creek, where she was a volunteer youth administrator.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office executed the arrest warrant without incident.
Andrews was booked into the Williamson County Jail for the felony offense of sexual assault of a child.
The student attended the Vandegrift High School and he met Andrews at her father-in-law’s church.
If convicted, Andrews faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up $10,000.
The student told police that he had sex with Andrews 11 or 12 times.
The teacher also sent him a nude picture of herself.
