A little girl who wanted to play with her new dog was killed in a vicious attack, according to police in Oklahoma.

The Duncan Police Department said that they were called to the home of 3-year-old Rylee Marie Dodge after the family’s pit bull attacked her.

The girl’s father Jason said that he adopted the dog five days before the incident.

The dog did not show any signs of aggression.

On Sunday, Jason left the home to visit a friend.

The girl stayed home with her grandmother.

A few minutes after Jason left, Dodge opened the home’s back door to go outside and play with the dog.

However, the dog immediately attacked her.

The dog dragged the girl into the house.

The girl’s grandmother tried to stop the attack and was also injured in the process.

When Jason returned home, he found his mother lying on top of the dog next to his daughter’s lifeless body.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed Dodge to the hospital, where she was declared dead.

When police arrived at the scene, the dog escaped.

Police tracked down the dog, and after Jason ordered officers to kill, it was shot.

Police said that no charges have been filed.

Jason wrote: “Really missing you Rylee Marie Dodge! I’m so sorry this happened to you baby girl. I know I promised you I’d never let anything happen to you and I failed at it. I will always love you, that’s a promise I’ll never let up! Miss you baby girl. You’re my everything baby girl. Daddy really wishes you were here!! I do not know what I am going to do without that beautiful smile. My kisses and hugs. Love you. R.I.P.”
