The owner of a luxury car was shocked when a teenager stole and crashed it all because he refused to buy a pack of cigarettes, according to police in Minnesota.

The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office said that 17-year-old Parker Steven LaFromboise of St. Paul faces charges after being accused of stealing and crashing the Lexus belonging to 32-year-old Rashad Turner.

LaFromboise has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and fleeing a police officer.

According to the police investigation, on Monday, Turner parked his Lexus outside the gas station at SuperAmerica, which is located on Lexington Parkway near Front Avenue.

LaFromboise approached and asked Turner to buy him a pack of cigarettes.

Turner refused because LaFromboise was just 17-years-old.

LaFromboise became angry so he got into Turner’s Lexus and sped off.

Turner called the police and officers pursued the teen.

LaFromboise refused to pull over and he led officers on a high-speed chase before crashing the Lexus into a pickup truck.

LaFromboise then tried to escape on foot but he was apprehended.

The pickup driver was rushed to a hospital, where he was treated for broken bones.
