A makeup artist was found dead in a freezer at a home, where her uncle, a builder, did renovations.
Two men of the United Kingdom went on trial for her murder.
The uncle, 33-year-old Mujahid Arshid, who is married, was reportedly obsessed with his niece and allegedly became jealous when she found a boyfriend.
Arshid and his employee, Vincent Tappu, 28, of London, kidnapped 20-year-old Celine Dookhran and another woman, who is 21-years-old, the Old Bailey heard.
The men used a Taser to subdue the women. They stuffed socks into the mouths of the victims and placed tape over them.
They tied up the women and took them to a home in Surrey, where the men did construction.
There the women were raped and their throats were slit. Dookhran died and her body was locked in a freezer. Arshid took the padlock key and fled the scene.
Police tracked his phone to the Holiday Inn in Folkestone, Kent, where he was arrested and the padlock key was found.
Officers found the body of Dookhran in a chest freezer covered in a sheet.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old woman managed to survive. She convinced the second man that she could be his boyfriend. He untied her and took her to his home.
Police located Tuppu and he too was arrested.
Arshid was charged with murder, attempted murder, two counts of rape, sexual assault, and assault by penetration.
Tappu faces charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, and possession of a firearm with intent.
Both men denied the charges brought against them.
